The Real You.

I want to rip your clothes off
And see you. The real you.

I want to see what beauty looks like
Without accessories, without ornaments.
I want to see you bare naked.
Because that’s when we are vulnerable.
Most vulnerable.
And I want to know
If you are ready
To expose those vulnerabilities
I want to know
That you are not another mask
In this puppet show
Where every person you love
Holds the strings that make you dance
I want to rip your clothes off
And see you. The real you.

I want to hold you like no one ever did
I want to look at you like no one ever did
I want to caress you like no one ever did
I want to kiss you like no one ever did
I want to take you where no one ever did
I want to make love to you
Like no one ever will
Feel those lips rest on mine
Tread those curves softly
Take you in my arms tightly
And light up a spark in your soul
I want to rip your clothes off
And see you. The real you.

I might sound selfish
I am indeed
But I don’t want to lose you
I cannot get hurt again
I cannot hurt anyone again
And I know you’d deny
You’d deny being afraid
Of the future. Of us.
But I promise you
That when the winter comes
And its chilling outside
I’ll cover you with a blanket
Because I have already
Seen you. The real you.
